2009 : new year, new resolution(s). May be not! We are indeed continuing to watch fearfully a fast slowing global economy affecting every country in the world, every worker in the US, every american family, and undeniably every one of us, one of our co-workers, one of our neighbors, one of our close family members. Things are really Bad. In this context it is an oxymoron to say that it is difficult to find any silver lining. In this context how and where do you find a dividend paying investments that is reliable, makes sense, is an outstanding value, and holds the key to growing income if the future. What metrics should one use in this environment? In today's ubiquitous internet media world one can find any statistics, any financials and metrics on any publicly traded company...But where do you find statistics, and a metric for individuals resilience, perseverance, smarts under duress? In these challenging times, it is very difficult to find a silver lining, unless you shut your computer off, turn the TV off, take the day off and decide to spend time alone or with your daughter or son, significant other...Do that and you may very well realize that you are it! You undoubtely will continue to grow as an individual as long as you invest in yourself and close ones.
